Change begins today - build a better tomorrow for our community

Welcome to my campaign! Take your time exploring, get to know me, and see how together, we can make a difference.
My name is Adelaida "Adela" Miranda, I am a proud mother to 3 wonderful children, Nayeli (19), Mary (15) and Adrian, Jr. (9) whom I am raising with the help of my ex-husband, Adrian. As a family, we attend many community events together and are members of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Growing up in Hempstead I was taught the importance of hard work at an early age. From babysitting to mowing lawns for neighbors and friends, I developed a strong work ethic, good moral character and a keen sense of leadership. A year after graduating from Hempstead High, in 2006, I started working for the Waller County District Clerk's Office at only 19 years old. In 2008, my part-time position soon turned into a full-time job handling tax suits for several years before being moved to the family law desk where I kept the divorce, CPS and parent-child relationship cases in order. In 2015, I single-handedly managed all the felony criminal cases filed in the District Clerk's Office, including Indictments, Appeals and Writs of Habeas Corpus. At the same time, I was given the title of Chief Deputy District Clerk, the 2nd in command under the Clerk. I supervised and managed the office in the absence of the District Clerk and I was able to guide and train staff along the way. With this experience I know what it takes to be a leader and to be able to continue assisting the Courts and Judges more effectively. My current position as the Assistant Court Coordinator for the 506th District Court has taught me even more and has given me the expertise that I know will contribute to my success as the next District Clerk for Waller County.

I have been a part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place for everyone, especially our youth. I have volunteered in the Hempstead PTO for the past several years. I am a member of the Waller Chamber of Commerce, the Republican Women's Party and the Texas Association for Court Administration. I was involved with the "Vote Yes" Committee that assisted in passing the Hempstead School Bond to repair the football track and stadium and help build a new Early Childhood Campus among other projects. I recently joined the Women's Club of Waller as well as the Hempstead FFA Alumni to provide more assistance to the community. I am proud to contribute to the amazing growth of Waller County.
Election day is fast approaching.... Don't forget to vote March 3, 2026
